my what a week.

time is a flying. i am in GALILEE right now, but here is a brief run down of my past week...i will fill in more later. i donated blood for the first time, we went under the western wall (actually its just under the city not the wall), painted a mural (grew a mustache), amazing churches, YMCA bell tower, the Dome of the Rock, me. can i just say...i love life.

i love CHRISTMAS. its one of my favorite times of year. this year i get to celebrate this beloved holiday twice! we went to Bethlehem earlier this week and i will say this is a Christmas that i will never forget. real shepherds and real sheep, meeting students at Bethlehem University, going to the Church of the Nativity (the birthplace of Christ), singing every Christmas song in the hymn book, and finishing the day with a fireside and testimony meeting in a shepherds field outside of Bethlehem. this was a day i will never forget.  a Christmas to always be remembered.

a day to get away.

finals may be the death of me. i hate them. they are stressful and cause melt downs and freak outs and basically havoc. so in the midst of our finals madness we decided to get away. 1 taxi ride, 2 buses, and a 15 minute walk later i found my self staring at the beaches of the mediterranean sea. TEL AVIV is one of my new favorite places. salty water, body surfing, sand creations, great food, fun city, and the best company. can you think of any better way to study for finals? it was the perfect day.
